The YSeason 2010

Welcome to the new season! The season begins on April 10th this year with a 5km sealed handicap at Lake Pertobe. Walkers commence at 2.45pm and Runners at 3:00pm. A sausage sizzle and refreshments will be held directly after the event. Encourage any of your friends who walk or have a social jog to come and join in this season. New members are vital to keep the club vibrant and fresh so please give some thought.

 

Club Uniforms

We continue to encourage members to wear club uniform to all events. This should increase our visibility around the city and give our sponsors greater ownership of their event. Our uniform consists of a white singlet with club logo (logo available at the T-Shirt Shop) and navy shorts. These can be purchased at Sports-co. We are currently in the process of purchasing some ourselves, in order to sell on race days.

A limited supply of polo shirts, wind-breakers and singlets are available from the club or can be purchased at Joroni (Norfolk Plaza) and will be subsidised for financial members.

 

Membership & Entry Fees

We have maintained our membership prices for 2010 by managing our costs and generating revenue where possible. Our affiliation with Athletics Victoria enables us to secure a cheaper Public Liability Insurance. The Summer Series was once again very successful for the club and my thanks goes to all those who assisted in the running this year. Please find below the membership fees, unchanged this season, which can be paid as follows:.

$25 Membership and pay $5 entry fee at each event. $20 for ½ marathon.

Family Membership - $50 per family and pay $5 entry fee per person at each event. $20 for ½ marathon.

$55 Bulk payment includes membership ($25) and entry into all 13 events, including the ½ marathon, during the 2010 winter season

 

Family Membership - $110 bulk payment includes membership ($50) and entry into all 13 events, including the ½ marathon, during the 2010 winter season

MEMBERSHIP FEES – WALKERS

$25 Membership includes all walks except the ½ Marathon. ($20 entry)

 

Registration & Calendar

Please find the Walkers and Runners calendar for the Winter Series below. As a result of the members survey completed last year, start times this year vary as do the order of events so please take note. Walkers start 15 minutes prior to the advertised times. The ½ Marathon will be in September with the course to be determined. As in previous years, the final event of the year (Maddens Lawyers 7km) will incorporate our Presentation Night in the clubrooms.

 

Please note that some events are followed by a BBQ. Please make an effort to stay after each event whilst we collate results and present vouchers.
